Occupancy of Covid-19 beds in Ludza Medical Center exceeds maximum
RIGA, March 8 (LETA) - The occupancy of Covid-19 beds in Ludza Medical Center has exceeded maximum, according to the Health Ministry's data.
In a week, the number or reprofiled Covid-19 beds declined by 8 percent from 1,263 to 1,166. Covid-19 patients are being treated also in wards of other profiles and specialized hospitals.
The maximum occupancy of Covid-19 beds has also been reached at Piejura Hospital, while un Ludza Medical Center it has reached 120 percent.
Also, more than 90 percent of Covid-19 beds are occupied in Jelgava Hospital (95 percent), Riga Psychiatric and Narcology Center (91 percent), and Talsi branch of Ziemelkurzeme Regional Hospital (90 percent).
The maximum capacity of ICU beds has been reached in Vidzeme Hospital, Cesis Clinic and Kuldiga Hospital.
The highest occupancy of Covid-19 beds was reported in the Riga planning region (79 percent), followed by Kurzeme planning region (73 percent), Vidzeme planning region (71 percent), Zemgale planning region (71 percent), while Latgale planning region reported 68 percent occupancy.
