    100 lists of political forces submitted so far for municipal elections

    Riga, April 2 (LETA) - According to information published on the website of the Central Election Commission (CVK), 100 lists have been submitted for the local elections so far.

    The CVK has called on political forces not to postpone the submission of lists until the last moment.

    On the first day of the elections, Progressives and the Centre Party submitted their lists in Riga. Subsequently, the party Stability!, the party Honor to Serve Riga and the Union of Greens and Farmers, the Latvian Socialist Party and the National Alliance submitted lists in Riga.

    Meanwhile, in Liepaja and Ventspils, the first party to submit a list for the municipal elections was Harmony.

    As reported earlier, in preparation for the submission of lists of candidates for the local elections, the CEC organised seminars for parties on the procedure for preparing and submitting lists of candidates.

    The submission of the lists of candidates will close on April 8, and the municipal elections will take place in early June.
