No further functional improvements are being made to election systems - CVK
RIGA, July 9 (LETA) - As of June 30, no further functional improvements are being made to the election systems, said Maris Zviedris, chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), in an interview on TV3.
He noted that "dreams and plans" were-and still are-ambitious, but they will be realized in future elections.
"That’s why there are several things that won’t work quite as smoothly in the systems yet, but the good news is that we have these system modules to the extent that they are currently complete, and we’ll work with them," he said.
Zviedris noted that last year, various tests and improvements were carried out right up until election day.
