More than 1,300 Ukrainian residents have contacted employment agency, looking for jobs
RIGA, April 5 (LETA) - The State Employment Agency (NVA) so far has received applications from more than 1,300 Ukrainain residents, looking for jobs in Latvia, NVA director Evita Simsone said in an interview with the Latvian public radio.
She said that there are mostly women among applicants, more than 50 percent of them have higher education, 80 percent of them were service in Riga region.
Simsone said that the highest number of vacancies for Ukrainian residents have been registered in Riga region - almost 5,000 vacancies out of a total of 7,300 vacancies registered.
She said that the vacancies most often are registered in manufacturing, construction and catering, also IT and farming.
