RIGA, May 18 (LETA) - In order to achieve more active vaccination of residents of Latgale, mobile vaccination buses will be used, said Vaccination Project Bureau head Eva Juhnevica.

So far, in cooperation with the National Armed Forces, mobile tents have been put up in several locations in Latgale. In the future, mobile buses will be used to reach more distant locations. This service will also be ensured in cooperation with the National Armed Forced.

Representatives of the vaccination project plan to meet with local governments and prepare the mobile tent and bus schedule for May and June.

Also, mass media will be used to motivate residents for vaccination. Juhnevica said that the next informative campaign will be held on the national level, but will also be adapted for each region.

As reported, vaccination level in Latgale and Zemgale are lower than average in Latvia.
