Less than a third of new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga; many cases reported in Jelgava and Daugavpils
RIGA, April 9 (LETA) - Of the 658 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia on Thursday, 29 percent were recorded in Riga and a relatively high number of cases were recorded also in Daugavpils and Jelgava, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 188 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases to 2,310.
In Jelgava, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases rose to 294, with 50 cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Daugavpils reported 30 new cases, while the city's cumulative 14-day incidence reached 295.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is 338.6, according to LETA's estimates.
