Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Jelgava and Olaine region
RIGA, Jan 25 (LETA) - Out of the 223 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, nearly half were recorded in Riga, while a significant number of cases was recorded also in Jelgava and Olaine region, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 106 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 3,467. In Jelgava, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 423, with 19 cases discovered in the past 24 hours.
Ten new Covid-19 cases were reported in Olaine region where the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases now stands at 96.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population has slipped to 594.
