Vaccine disinformation leaflets distributed in Aluksne
RIGA, July 23 (LETA) - A few days ago leaflets containing disinformation about Covid-19 vaccines appeared in apartment houses in the northern Latvian town of Aluksne, prompting a police inquiry, ReTV channel reported.
The texts printed on the flyers in Latvian and Russian mostly contained sensational messages about the Covid-19 vaccines and "murderous" medics. One of the leaflets read: "They wanted to vaccinate all people. Nuremberg. The case of killer-doctors. The doctors' trial ended on August 20, 1947 with the sentence - to hang for experimenting with people."
Last weekend, residents of Aluksne found the leaflets in staircases and on windowsills, on notice boards and in mailboxes. One such case was reported to the State Police who started an inquiry.
Zane Vaskane, a representative of the Vidzeme regional department of the State Police, informed ReTV that this is the first such vaccine disinformation case in Vidzeme.
