28% of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga
RIGA, Oct 7 (LETA) - Of the 1,752 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Latvia over the past 24 hours, 28 percent were recorded in Riga, and a high number of cases was reported also in Daugavpils, , according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga recorded 498 new infection as the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the capital city grew to 4,263.
Meanwhile, Daugavpils registered 152 new cases, Liepaja registered 68 cases, Jekabpils municipality 61, Valmiera municipality 55, Rezekne and Ogre municipality 44 cases each, Adazi and Rezenke municipality - 43 cases each, Kraslava municipality - 42 cases each, Augsdaugava and Balvi municipality - 41 cases each, Kuldiga municipality - 40 cases. A number of other municipalities recorded fewer cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 732.1, according to LETA's estimates, based on CDC data.
