President and Latvian local governments' representatives discuss solutions to reduce bureaucratic burden
RIGA, Feb 13 (LETA) - President Edgars Rinkevics met with representatives of Latvian local governments today to discuss solutions to reduce the bureaucratic burden, especially in the construction industry, the president's advisor Martins Dregeris told LETA.
On Thursday, Rinkevics and representatives of Latvian municipalities and officials of the Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments met at Riga Castle to discuss a wide range of issues, including local governments' budgets and finances, internal and external security, road infrastructure, and education.
Rinkevics confirmed during the meeting that he would continue visits to all Latvia's municipalities after the local elections at the beginning of June.
