Local governments to be granted EUR 109,879 in compensation for introducing epidemiological safety measures in public transport
RIGA, Sept 20 (LETA) - Eight local governments will be granted EUR 109,879 in compensation for introducing Covid-19 epidemiological safety measures in public transport, the government decided today.
The sum will be transferred to local governments, covering actual expenses in the time period from July 1, 2021, until February 28, 2022.
EUR 21,406 will be paid to Daugavpils municipality, EUR 21,904 - to Jelgava municipality, EUR 483 - to Jekabpils municipality, EUR 735 - to Liepaja municipality, EUR 1,086 to Rezekne municipality, EUR 57,684 - to Riga municipality, EUR 4,145 - to Valmiera municipality, EUR 2,436 - to Ventspils municipality.
