More than third of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga
RIGA, Sept 21 (LETA) - Out of the 494 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, more than one third was recorded in Riga, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 174 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 2,000. This is the largest number of two-week new infections in the Latvian capital since the end of May.
Valmiera municipality reported 35 new Covid-19 cases, Rezekne municipality reported 27 cases, Rezekne city - 21 cases, Daugavpils - 20 cases, Ogre municipality - 17 cases, and a number of other municipalities reported fewer cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population rose to 332.8.
