Covid-19 incidence in Kekava municipality comes close to 6,000 cases per 100,000 population
RIGA, Jan 27 (LETA) - In four municipalities outside Riga - Kekava, Marupe, Adazi and Olaine - the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population exceeds 5,000, and has come close to 6,000, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
In the municipalities of Ropazi and Salaspils, as well as in the cities of Riga and Jelgava, cumulative 14-day Covid-19 incidence surpasses 4,000 cases per 100,000 population.
Across Latvia, cumulative two-week Covid-19 incidence has increased to 3,584.4 cases per 100,000 population.
Cumulative two-week Covid-19 incidence per 100,00 population has reached 5,997.9 cases in Kekava, 5,992.6 cases in Marupe, 5,862.6 cases in Adazi and 5,485.9 cases cases in Olaine.
Apart from the aforementioned municipalities, Covid-19 incidence exceeds Latvia's average also in Jelgava municipality and Daugavpils.
Meanwhile, Varaklani in eastern Latvia is currently the only municipality where Covid-19 incidence remains below 1,000 cases per 100,00 population.
