Latvia plans to establish nine large regional vaccination centers
RIGA, March 9 (LETA) - Latvia plans to establish nine large vaccination centers in regions, Vaccination Bureau's process coordinator Edgars Labsvirs said at the government meeting today.
The centers will be located in Ventspils, Liepaja, Jelgava, Jurmala, Cesis, Valmiera, Rezekne, Jekabpils, Daugavpils.
Labsvirs said that 105 vaccination teams will ensure 40,500 vaccinations a week in these centers.
In eight other cities - Kuldiga, Saldus, Tukums, Bauska, Sigulda, Aizkraukle, Madona and Gulbene - 32 vaccination teams will administer 8,000 doses a week.
The vaccination centers in regions may start vaccination on April 1, said Vaccination Bureau head Eva Juhnevica.
