Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga and Jelgava
RIGA, Sept 28 (LETA) - Of the 804 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 37 percent have been recorded in Riga, and a relatively high number of cases have been discovered also in Jelgava, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) informed.
The 297 new cases registered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the capital city to 2,637.
Jelgava recorded 32 new Covid-19 cases, Daugavpils reported 29 cases, Ogre and Rezekne municipalities reported 28 cases each, Cesis municipality - 27, Valmiera municipality - 25, while a number of other municipalities registered fewer cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population grew to 427.4.
