Central Election Commission rejects complaints on election results in Kraslava, Saulkrasti, Olaine counties
RIGA, June 11 (LETA) - The Central Election Commission (CVK) on Friday rejected complaints about the election process and election results in Kraslava, Saulkrasti and Olaine counties.
One of the complaints submitted by a candidate from Saulkrasti county, was withdrawn.
Results of local election in Kraslava county were appealed by New Conservative Party candidate Dmitrijs Zalbovics, KPV LV candidate Raimonds Nipers and Latgale Party candidate Aivars Plotka.
Complaints about election results in Saulkrasti county came from New Unity candidate Izita Klavina and Latvian Greens Party candidate Bruno Veide. Klavina, hearing the local election commission explanations, withdrew her complaint.
A complaint about election results in Olaine county was submitted by Union of Greens and Farmers candidate Oskars Galanders.
CVK rejected all complaints about the election process, while decided to forward complaints about alleged vote buying and influencing voters' will to the State Security Service and the Corruption Prevention Bureau.
