Latvijas Banka 8. decembrī izlaidīs 5 eiro sudraba kolekcijas monētu "Vērdiņam 500". Monētas grafisko dizainu veidojis Laimonis Šēnbergs, ģipša modeli veidojusi Ligita Franckeviča. Monēta kalta Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt (Nīderlande).
