Valsts ieņēmumu dienesta muitas struktūrvienības 2010. gada janvārī kopumā izņēmušas 709 760 nelegālas cigaretes un sastādījušas 95 administratīvo pārkāpumu protokolus par cigarešu kontrabandu un par ar akcīzes nodokli apliekamo preču aprites noteikumu pārkāpumiem.
