Ostapenko and Arevalo take mixed doubles title at Wimbledon Championships
LONDON, July 9 (LETA) - Latvia's Alona Ostapenko and her mixed doubles partner Marcelo Arevalo (El Salvador) defeated Australia's Storm Hunter and Marc Polmans 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 in the mixed doubles final match of the Wimbledon Championships on Thursday.
As reported, Ostapenko was knocked out of the women's singles tournament at Wimbledon in the third round by top-seeded Aryna Sabalenka 4-6, 4-6.
