Latvijas Universitātes vīru kora "Dziedonis" mākslinieciskais vadītājs, Vispārējo latviešu dziesmu un deju svētku virsdiriģents Uldis Kokars ar saņemto Triju Zvaigžņu ordeni par nopelniem kultūrā, nozīmīgo veikumu Latvijas koru, īpaši vīru koru, mūzikas, kordiriģēšanas un Dziesmu un deju svētku tradīcijas stiprināšanā svinīgajā ceremonijā Rīgas pilī Latvijas Republikas neatkarības atjaunošanas 36.gadadienā.

Uldis Kokars, artistic director of the University of Latvia Men’s Choir “Dziedonis” and chief conductor of the All-Latvian Song and Dance Festival, was awarded the Order of the Three Stars for his contributions to culture, his significant contributions to strengthening the traditions of Latvian choirs—particularly men’s choirs—music, choral conducting, and the Song and Dance Festival, at a solemn ceremony at Riga Castle on the 36th anniversary of the restoration of the independence of the Republic of Latvia.
