Latvijas Universitātes rektors Gundars Bērziņš (no kreisās), Rīgas Tehniskās universitātes rektors Tālis Juhna, Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes rektors Aigars Pētersons un Nacionālā pētniecības un inovāciju institūta pienākumu izpildītāja Dace Kārkle piedalās Mežaparka Lielajā estrādē Kokaru zālē svinīgajā pasākumā, kurā tiek atzīmēta divu vadošo zinātņu institūtu - Latvijas Organiskās sintēzes institūta un Latvijas Biomedicīnas pētījumu un studiju centra - apvienošana, izveidojot Nacionālo pētniecības un inovāciju institūtu.
