Biedrības "Dzīvnieku brīvība" vadītāja Katrīna Krīgere piedalās dzīvnieku aizsardzības akcijā "Nedēļa sprostā", kuras mērķis ir mudināt Saeimu aizliegt dējējvistu turēšanu sprostos Latvijā. Akcijas nedēļā no 18. līdz 25. septembrim dažādi cilvēki 24 stundas diennaktī sēdēs lielā būrī, kas līdzinās tipiskam industriālās fermas dējējvistu sprostam.

Katrīna Krīgere, head of the association "Animal Freedom", takes part in the animal protection campaign "Week in a Cage", which aims to urge the Parliament to ban the keeping of laying hens in cages in Latvia. During the week of the campaign, from 18 to 25 September, various people will sit 24 hours a day in a large cage that resembles a typical factory-farm laying hen cage.
