Sakņu piepe, ko 2008.gada novembrī Zinātnisko mežu Kalsnavas mežu novadā , ko apsaimnieko Meža pētīšanas stacija “Kalsnava” atrada mežkopis Līgonis Bambe. Latvijas Valsts mežzinātnes institūta "Silava" asistente Kristīne Pāruma stāsta, ka sakņu piepes garums ir 97 cm, platums 25 cm. Atradums ir unikāls, jo līdz šim pasaulē lielākās sēnes garums bija līdz 45 cm. (Publicitātes foto)
